2020 Is Gone!

2020 was a wild ride for sure! We all know about the COVID-19 crisis, but what you may not know about this author, my daytime job sent me traveling the country during the worst pandemic we have witnessed in our lifetime.

Luckily for all involved, I did not die. I actually had several wonderful things happen over 2020, which we will get to in just a few moments. What I want to cover, are things that occurred last year that you probably have forgotten about.

· Scientist Might have found evidence of water on Mars, and microbial life – whatever that means.

· Brexit finally happened.

· There were actual swarms of Locusts in Africa. (don’t believe me? Look it up)

· TIGER KING. Ya’ll. I had to call people that live in Oklahoma to verify that. Its real y’all!

· The Wayfair sextrafficking ‘hoax’. Believe what you want but remember that Jeffery Epstein didn’t hang himself.

· Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested for all the heinous shit she did with Epstein…. Then crickets.

· FIRES. California almost burned to the ground. I’ll keep my opinion on that to myself as long as you do to. But did you know that Australia was on fire aswell? Australia was on fire first and California showed up to the party like a drunk redneck in a Hawaiian shirt and cowboy hat yelling ‘Hold My Beer!’

· President Trump was impeached but acquitted. He repeats in 2021. *shrug*

· Let’s talk about the toilet paper crisis. Out of all the symptoms of COVID, diarrhea is not listed anywhere. Why did we hoard all the buttwipe?

· MURDER HORNETS. Well, the threat there of, but did you die?

· Harvey Weinstein was sent to prison for sex crimes. We all stood up and cheered for that yea?

· There was a Bolivian orchestra that was trapped in an a haunted German Castle for over two months, not because of COVID. Nope. Surrounded by wolves.

· Trump was going to ban TikTok, but instead got banned by twitter, facebook, Instagram and probably snapchat too. (and guess whos not on Tiktok either)

· Carole Baskin, who may or may not have fed her disappeared husband to her tigers, when on dancing with the stars. Yes, she was dressed in an elaborate big cat costume.

· Macauly Culkin turned 40. So did I, but youll read about that later.

So, have fun with those memories yea? Lets not forget the people the suffered, lost jobs and income and those that died. 2020 was a rough year. But, I as the eternal optimist want to focus on the amazing things that happened in 2020.

· Ol’ Steve got married. Because of our favorite friend COVID, it was a beautiful ceremony for two (four if you count the officiant and the photographer)

· We bought a new house, I have my own study – which I quickly painted in chalkboard paint to keep notes of my books on. I even have a map of the land my next book takes place in.

· I turned 40. One more year older to sitting on my porch yelling at the kids to get off my damn lawn.

· I published Crowned. Its up for sale and right now I have some copies to sign and send (but once they are gone you’ll have to figure out a way to get a signed copy)

· I was able to keep my day job, and my wifey was able to settle into a new and better position than she had before.

During all of that I posted on the authors page, but let this slide, and I apologize for that. I will make a promise that I will update this more, maybe not short stories, maybe just life things. We’ll see.

I truly hope that 2021 is better for us all, that the world stabilizes and we can all get back to doing the things that we love.
